At Kline Kennels we follow the Badass Breeder Program by Jeanette Forrey with 4E Kennels. I am passionate about bringing up healthy mind and body dogs and when I found this program I knew it was perfect for our program.

It starts with happy and healthy parents. We make sure all of our breeding dogs are health tested to ensure no diseases are passed to pups. We also honor them to determine if breeding should occur.

Once pups are born starting at day 3 until day 16 we preform ENS (early neurological stimulation). It's 5 steps that puts the pup under small amounts of stress that kicks their nervous system into gear. They learn to recover from those stressors and in turn will be able to recover from more stressors later on in life. ENS is known to improve cardiovascular performance, stronger heartbeats, stronger adrenal glands, more tolerance to stress, and greater resistance to disease.

At 3 weeks old we move into a more advanced curriculum with our puppies. We begin a “10 step puppy massage” every day and increase pressure weekly. We use our 10 step handling exercises to ensure our puppies are exposed to various types of touch, handling and sensation.

At 3 weeks we also begin socializing our puppies to different sounds, sights, textures, things to climb on, run through and more. We believe in empowering over enabling our puppies. We set them up to conquer physical and mental challenges every day. By doing this we build our puppies nerve strength and confidence as well as problem solving skills. Our goal is provide our puppies with a stable and enriching environment for the first 8 weeks of their lives.
